2020 Economic Forecast Breakfast

Please join us as Jim Robey from the W.E. Upjohn Institute delivers his economic forecast for the U.S., the State of Michigan and Wexford County on Wednesday February 19th at 7:30am at Baker College Cadillac. This will be Jim’s second year delivering this forecast and he will tell us where he got it right, where he got it wrong and what he sees for 2020. Jim is the Director, Regional Economic Planning Services at the W.E. Upjohn Institute and provides research and technical assistance on economic issues and in economic and workforce development to assist corporate, nonprofit, and economic and workforce development entities in problem resolution and strategic decision making. His research focuses on regional economic, education, economic development, and workforce development issues across Michigan and the nation. He prepares annual employment forecasts for southwest Michigan’s metropolitan areas, directs the production of business outlook for West Michigan, and provides economic insights for regional economic development across northwest Ohio, and the states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. Robey received his PhD in Urban Studies from the Levin College of Urban Affairs, Cleveland State University.

Cadillac Leadership and Friends Dinner

Join us for the annual Leadership & Friends Dinner in support of this year's class project: Leadership by the Book. All proceeds will go towards helping the class reach their $30,000+ goal of purchasing new furniture for the Cadillac Wexford Public Library.

Tickets can be purchased online through the Cadillac Leadership Facebook page or in person (cash or check only) from a current class member or at the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce. Checks should be made out to Cadillac Leadership Program.

27th Annual Briefcase Open Golf Outing

The Briefcase Open is held annually in May and features two member golf courses.

The Briefcase Open is recognized as the premier golf outing and business networking event in the Greater Cadillac area.
