President of Munson Healthcare Cadillac has been named
Tonya was the unanimous choice of the search committee after reviewing input from the medical staff, hospital board, and members of the senior leadership team. She will begin her new duties effective Feb. 23.
Tonya brings extensive leadership experience to the organization and will help ensure the Cadillac community’s health care needs are met as the hospital transitions to Munson Healthcare.
For the past six years, Tonya has served as Vice President of Corporate Ancillary Services for the six-hospital Valley Health System, as well as Vice President of Operations at Winchester Medical Center, a 445-bed tertiary acute care hospital in Winchester, Va.
Before her executive role, she was director of pharmacy services at Winchester Medical Center. She also led pharmacy services efforts at two West Virginia hospitals earlier in her career.
In addition to a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Md., Tonya has both a master of science degree in health care administration, and master of business administration degree from the University of Maryland University College in Adelphia, Md.
She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
The Shenandoah Valley has been home to Tonya, her husband, and their four children for many years. She is excited about this opportunity to lead staff, physicians, and the Cadillac community through the transition to Munson Healthcare and beyond.
“From my first visit to Cadillac for the interview process, I was impressed by the friendliness, sense of community, and pride in the hospital from everyone I met,” Tonya told us. “I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Cadillac community and working with the dedicated team at Cadillac Hospital. My husband and kids are looking forward to learning how to ice fish, my kids are excited about skiing, and I make a great hot chocolate. What more could we ask for?”
Please join me in welcoming Tonya and her family to northern Michigan and to the Munson Healthcare system.
