Maximize Giving Tuesday
For many non-profit organizations, Giving Tuesday is a digital campaign tool that has become a vital part of the annual fundraising calendar, fueled by social media and serving as the start of the charitable giving season. Givingtuesday.org reports that on Giving Tuesday 2017, nonprofits worldwide were able to raise over $300 million.
Giving Tuesday 2018 will take place on November 27, following Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.
This year, the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with local nonprofits by promoting their Giving Tuesday campaigns to Chamber members and the community. We will help participating nonprofits tell their story and amplify the messaging across all of our audiences, using our Chamber E-news, social media, and including a link to each fundraiser on a special page of our website.
Eligibility and requirements to participate:
• Must be a nonprofit organization and a member in good standing of the Cadillac Area Chamber of Commerce.
• Must send a short (100-word or less) paragraph announcing what your Giving Tuesday campaign will support, an online link to where donors can make a gift, and your logo or an image associated with your Giving Tuesday campaign. Within the paragraph, you should highlight your mission and current needs. (While many organizations set a financial goal on Giving Tuesday, some choose to focus on other goals such as increasing their number of volunteers.) Submissions to participate must be made by October 31, 2018
• Must be willing to participate in a follow-up survey shortly after Giving Tuesday to provide feedback and help the Chamber evaluate success of the campaign.
